History of the Zukoski Center

 

zcindexpic_thumbThe Zukoski Center is a substance abuse outpatient treatment program which is operated by Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Centers, Inc. (ADATC). The center is located in the Western section of Birmingham, Alabama. Named in honor of Charles Zukoski, vice president of the First National Bank from 1926-1962. He was one of the leaders to incorporate the city of Mountain Brook in 1942 and its first mayor for about 13 years. He was a member of the board of director’s for the agency and assisted the late Wilbur Silberman in drafting the by laws of the agency. The Zukoski Center has been providing quality treatment services for over twenty-five years.

Besides offering substance abuse outpatient treatment services, the Zukoski Center offers HIV Outreach Programs including HIV Screening, HIV Case Management, and HIV Educational Lectures.
